Back On Your Feet Chiropractic

Back On Your Feet Chiropractic photo
Back On Your Feet Chiropractic was founded in November of 2010 by Dr. Randy Johnson. It is located on the southwest corner of Vicksburg Plaza in PLymouth, MN. We specialize in gentle chiropractic techniques for all ages, including drop-table assisted manual adjusting, instrument-assisted adjusting, manual muscle work and massage, electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasound and instruction in therapeutic exercises, to list a few. We try to promote a positive, relaxed, fun atmosphere as we believe that this environment is most conducive to healing, and it makes Back On Your Feet Chiropractic a great place to visit.

One thing that sets back on your feet chiropractic apart from other chiropractic clinics in the area is the flexion distraction table. This technique is used with patients who have acute or chronic disc herniation or degeneration. Using a gentle pumping action, this technique is able to allow the disc to get nutrients in and waste products out. This helps to alleviate some of the inflammation and allow more movement of the joints above and below the affected disc. This technique used along with chiropractic adjustments to the area has been a successful combination in helping people with these often stubborn conditions.
Bio
Dr. Randy Johnson grew up in Little Canada, MN. He attended Century College in White Bear Lake, MN and from there moved on to Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After graduating from Northwestern, Dr. Johnson moved to Glencoe, MN to practice under another doctor at Gauer Chiropractic Clinic. While in Glencoe, Dr. Johnson got married to his wife Julia. They then had two children: Maverick (4) and Mason (2). After living and working in Glencoe for six years, they decided to strike out on their own, purchased Goebel Family Chiropractic in Plymouth, MN and renamed it Back On Your Feet Chiropractic.

During the second half of his Chiropractic education, he became interested in chiropractic's effect on brain and overall nervous system function. He began taking post-doctoral seminars on chiropractic neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies, and has continued this since finishing school. He completed the board exam for the American Chiropractic Neurology Board in July 2011. This additional training sets him apart from many chiropractors in that he has a window into the function of many areas of a patient's brain and central nervous system which may be contributing to a patient's area of complaint. Using this information, he is able to devise a treatment plan that addresses not only the physical manifestations (pain, numbness, weakness, "pinched nerve", etc) , but also to address the abnormal function of the central nervous system that may be leading to those symptoms.
