Give Yourself a Scalp Massage.

How to do it

Put your hands on either side of your head and place your fingertips (not your nails) against the space where your skull curves over your ears. Press gently and move your fingers in small circles. Move your hands down and forward so you are massaging your temples, still lightly pressing and moving your fingers in small circles. From here, move your hands to the back of your head, and use your fingertips to massage the base of your skull, moving upward and outward as you go. Continue to move to different areas of your head, massaging in one-inch circles, until you are done.

Why it matters

The human head is a very sensitive place! Your scalp is covered in nerve endings that make it very responsive to touch, so a nice massage can provide stress relief and a moment of relaxation. Scalp massage is also good for relieving a tension headache.
