Stay Well Naturally!
The cold and flu season is here, but that doesn't mean that you will get a cold or flu. With these tips, you can "Go Natural" and do your part to prevent illness and strengthen your immune system.
*Wash hands often, using natural products. Most cold and flu viruses are spread by direct contact. Clean hands resist germs.
*Sneeze and cough into your sleeve/elbow area. It's the best way to stop the spread of germs. Don't sneeze or cough into your hands.
*Don't touch your face! Cold & flu viruses enter your body through the eyes, nose or mouth. Avoid rubbing your eyes and nose.
*Eat your fruits & veggies (especially dark green, red & yellow). Make sure to get enough Vitamin C. Also, garlic and blueberries are good antivirals.
*Echinacea may help support your immune system.
*Exercise regularly. This helps reduce stress and strengthen your immune system.
*Drink plenty of fluids. Most adults need eight 8-ounce glasses of fluids each day.
*Get adequate sleep. Most adults need 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
*Reduce stress. Breathe, relax and don't let stresses get the best of you.
*Get adjusted! This is not a time to skip your chiropractic visits. Chiropractic adjustments support healthy immune system function.
